DESCRIPTION:Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home Announces 2nd Annual "Cars & Cans" Car Show & Food Drive\n\n\n\nAfter the tremendous success of last year's inaugural event\, Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home is excited to welcome the community back for its 2nd Annual Cars & Cans Car Show & Food Drive on Saturday\, September 26\, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home\, located at 214 Main Street in Salem\, New Hampshire.\n\n\n\nWhat began as a simple idea to bring car enthusiasts together while helping neighbors in need quickly grew into a wonderful community tradition. Thanks to the generosity of participants\, spectators\, and local supporters\, last year's event collected hundreds of pounds of food for area food pantries in addition to monetary donations. This year\, organizers hope to make an even bigger impact.\n\n\n\nThe event is open to all makes\, models\, and years of vehicles\, welcoming everything from antiques and muscle cars to modern classics\, trucks\, and specialty vehicles. Whether you're showing off your pride and joy or simply enjoy admiring beautiful automobiles\, everyone is invited to attend.\n\n\n\nAdmission is simple: participants are encouraged to donate three canned food items per vehicle\, while spectators are asked to bring one canned good or make a cash donation. All proceeds and food donations will benefit local food pantries serving families throughout the greater Salem area. Donuts\, coffee and breakfast sandwiches will be available for purchase. All proceeds go to local food banks.\n\n\n\n"Our goal is to bring people together for a fun morning while supporting organizations that provide such an important service to our community\," said the staff at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home.
