Bridging the Horizon provides summer camps specially designed for individuals with unique needs.
 
As the warmth of summer approaches, Bridging the Horizon is thrilled to announce the launch of its highly anticipated second year of summer camp! Our weekly camps will take place from Monday to Friday, running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following dates: June 23-27, July 14-18, July 21-25, and August 4-8 at the Bridging the Horizon Community Center in Hampstead. Each week will be packed with an exciting blend of outdoor adventures, fun field trips, engaging indoor activities, and creative projects using our state-of-the-art Makerspace, where campers can explore their artistic and creative interests. Participation costs $250 per week, providing excellent value for a week full of enriching experiences.
 
In addition to our weekly camps, we are pleased to offer a specialized woodworking camp from June 16-20. This unique program is designed for participants to develop fundamental woodworking skills through hands-on learning. Campers will receive instruction on essential concepts such as safety protocols, accurate measuring techniques, and the proper use of hand and power tools, along with an overview of woodworking-related equipment. Safety will be a primary focus, ensuring that all participants understand the importance of following directions, cultivating good working habits, and maintaining a clean workspace. By the end of this engaging camp, each participant will have crafted several projects to take home, showcasing their newfound skills. We are excited to share that this camp will be led by Mickey Natoli, a retired woodshop teacher known for his passion for woodworking and dedication to mentoring all learners.
