Windham Academy is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Math Interventionist to join our educational team. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about helping students build foundational math skills, close learning gaps, and develop confidence in mathematics.

The Math Interventionist will work closely with classroom teachers and families to provide targeted support to students who require additional math instruction. The successful candidate will use data-driven practices to identify student needs, implement evidence-based interventions, and monitor student growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted math intervention services to students in grades 6–8 through group instruction.

  • Assess student math skills and identify areas of need using a variety of screening, diagnostic, and progress-monitoring tools

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with grade-level curriculum and classroom instruction.

  • Monitor student progress regularly and adjust interventions based on data and student performance.

  • Maintain accurate records of student growth, intervention services, and progress-monitoring results.

  • Participate in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Response to Intervention (RTI), and student support team meetings.

  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, goals, and strategies for supporting math learning at home.

  • Support teachers by providing resources, strategies, and recommendations for differentiated math instruction.

  • Participate in professional development and contribute positively to the Windham Academy school community.
